Ghost Story Prompts and meta

Change of plans, folks. Given the fact that Ghost Story spoilers are supposedly already floating around the web and the fact that there's an early limited release at Comic Con this weekend, we're going to start a Ghost Story specific post.

All GS related prompts, fills, discussion and meta go here so as to not spoil your fellow fans (at least the ones that don't want to be :D). All fills should follow posting guidelines, with the exception of GS meta going to the meta/discussion post. Questions? Ask the mods.

After Harry's death, Marcone's attempts to work with Dresden's allies and friends are made kinda weird by the sheer number of them who come to him individually and tell him, very seriously, that they had long guessed about the secret, angsty, passionate affair he and Harry were having, and though they never said anything before/were never happy about it, if he ever needs to talk...

Said affair is news to John. But his best attempts to explain that, no, WTF, they weren't shagging, nor were either of them to the best of his knowledge pining for the other, are met with sympathetic disbelief and assurances that they understand why he's in denial/keeping the secret out of respect for Harry's wishes, and they won't tell anyone else.

After a few rounds of this, John is starting to wonder about...things he really doesn't want to wonder about.

*dies* Oh god. And Hendricks is all ".. he was that far into denial?"

I'd love it if they were just messing with him the whole time, and secretly laughing.

"Guys, I think he's actually starting to believe it!"

Hey, given how things went seriously pear-shaped after Harry died, they'd have to take their laughs where they can get them.

And it was totally all Bob's idea.

Or if some of them were doing it as a joke, but others weren't and are like, "Wait, you were kidding about that? But...but the thing he built on the site of Harry's apartment...?"

And the ones who aren't in on the joke, and who were all, OMG, I had no idea, but now that I'm thinking about it, maybe...? are the ones that are really freaking Marcone out. Because if it were just Kinkaid, he'd assume he was being trolled. But Michael Carpenter?

And it turns out that Michael is just the greatest straight man in comedy history.

Or Michael figured that if Marcone could accept that he had loved Harry, perhaps he'd accept forgiveness...

Marcone, his denial is one of the stranger ways Will's been done.

And Donar? :D

And then poor Bob has to explain it all to Harry.

Awkward.

Either that or Harry joins in on the Greatest Practical Joke EVER. I mean, it's not like he doesn't have experience pretending to be gay. (That scene in White Night is still one of the funniest things in the entire series. And it's even better in the audiobook, because of the way Marsters does Harry's voice.)

Oh god, imagine if he got ALL OF WINTER to join in on the joke. I mean, Trolls are creatures of Winter.

And can you imagine Sanya's role in the whole thing? Deadpan+Russian accent=Laughing so hard I can't breathe.

I still get tears in my eyes from laughing so hard when my friend says (in his Sanya impersonation) "You tapped that ass" "And I believe it was fat" I cry tears of laughter.

Yeah, and then finally he runs into John for the first time since his death. And since from Marcone's perspective, Harry going along with it means the options are down to (a) everyone's been messing with him for months, or (b) he's had some kind of massive amnesiac event and somehow forgot that he and Harry really were a couple, and neither of these are something he's going to accept passively...this happens:

HARRY: Hey, Shnookums. Oh, how I've missed you. :D
JOHN: ...Right. Fine. *jumps him*
HARRY: Wait, what are y.....mmmprh!

Whyyyy are there still no fills for this? /is sad

I'm up for it, though y'know. I'm one of those people who's had a fill on the meme languishing forever. And I'm trying to rectify that.

Rectifying is good. :)
