Community Casting


How it works:

1. Reply to the character's comment with your ideal casting choice. (If there's no comment yet, go ahead and make one.)

2. Or ideal choices, but please keep it to one choice a reply.

3. Include contextual information if you'd like, include a description of the character if you'd like to remind everyone. The more you can share the better; but if you want your choice to speak for itself, that's fine too.

4. No holds barred: your choice doesn't have to be an actor, doesn't have to be the right age right now, doesn't have to be living. Go chromatic if you'd like, play with gender if you'd like, if you want to cast a character at a different age, go for it.

5. You must include an alt attribute and/or a description following your images/links. Want some help? Read here. eta: If you forget, you'll get one reminder and a chance to repost. After a couple days, any

6. Keep your image sizes reasonable, please. That's to your own discretion, of course, but remember that people are viewing this on all sizes of devices. You don't want to make them scroll. Oh, is it time for me to shove pics of Lee Pace into people's faces again? OH BOY OH BOY. (I'm gonna add image descriptions after each pic and make my argument for him there.)



IMAGE: Lee Pace of Pushing Daisies fame in profile. He has short brunet hair, slightly mussed, a predominant nose, a face that is not thin, but looks somewhat gaunt without being unhealthy (if that makes sense). His eyes are hooded and his chin is peppered liberally with stubble.

And not only is he physically, like, my dream image of Harry, but I think he could pull it off so fabulously. If you have Netflix, you had better take a few hours to crash through the some episodes of Pushing Daisies, wherein Pace plays Ned, the Piemaker. He pulls off dry humor, a realistic joyful sweetness, and the requisite angst of being a man with a terribly powerful, mysterious ability. I love love love love Pace for Harry and will trumphet his perfectness to my dying day.

Sandra Oh, Canadian actress extraordinaire, best known in the US for being scary and uncompromising on Grey's Anatomy. If her GA character got in a fight with Karrin Murphy, I honestly don't know who would win.

Whenever I think of Marcone I think of Adrian Pasdar. He has that Italian American look (although I know he isn't) and I think he would be amazing as a mobster with his vague sleaziness (that's probably not quite the right word), which isn't too over the top, which is important for an ambiguous character like our Johnny Marcone.
