In the first line of your fill*, you must include:

1) Character(s)/Pairing(s)/Threesome(s)/Moresome(s) as applicable.
2) Any kinks included. Please take this to include scenarios, themes, etc. Use your imagination.
3) MANDATORY WARNINGS/CONTENT NOTES if there is dubcon or noncon, underage characters in sexual situations, major character death, suicide, self-harm, and/or graphic descriptions or extensive discussions of abuse.

Rambly-anon! Yes, those are exactly the vibes I get - one of the reasons I love the Near Miss universe (have you read that?) is that it plays out all my subconcious evaluations of how they'd get along if there was no Gentleman in the way, but does it better than I could dream of doing, plus with actual way-cool plot. Ditto for grenegome's fic where Harry meets John pre-Gentleman and doesn't realize until well after the fact, because he's Harry, that his best bud has taken over the Mob. Cannot think of the name for that one right now to save my life, sorry.

It's also why I keep thinking of writing this deaging fic where they sort of grow up together as the applied phlebotinum wears off... It's a problem. /o.o\;

Never actually sat my ass down to read Near Miss in full, did read the little intermediate bit in full though. I did read grenegome's fill and God, I can just imagine Harry the Male Yakuza Wife, which I will never not love. Cause yeah, if Harry actually ever did date Marcone that's exactly how it would end up. One minute your day's going fine and you're reading your quarterly report and the next thing you know your boyfriend's burst in and screaming at you about not teaching the underlings about proper procedure in dealing with fairies.

Yeah the deaging prompt hit me hard too. Although it was less grow up together so much as 'both become teenagers and run away because of freaking out,causing their allies to panic'.

NA says: little intermediate bit? I love that series probably more than is healthy (fully functional canon-AUs are so hard to come by! I'm forever grateful a friend insisted I suppress my really horrible experiences with Dresden fic and read it), and I would swear I'd read everything (up to and including alerts to let me know when it comes up in comments *blushes*), but that sounds new? Is there something new?

Wait, nevermind! You mean "Joy Ride", don't you? The car sex/masturbation fill. Damn! I was hoping I'd missed something new lol.

Naw, I did read Joyride, but the bit were Johnny boys gets a wash and massage. It was published before Joyride and should be up on ArchiveofOurOwn.

Good Love Town? Yeah, that one's been up for a long time. I hoped you were talking about something new. :) I don't know how they count it. It's in the universe, but it's not (yet) a between-fic interlude, and it's not included in the series like Joyride is, but maybe that's just because it theoretically takes place more in the future, if John's dreaming about Denarians. That one does have some really good lines in it. I especially like the one about Harry being dismissive of scary things he doesn't understand.

Ah, well apologies for getting your hopes up then. And if you're the same nonny I've been talking with all across the round, I'm working on your fill. Which went from a short little humor piece to some bloated, introspective, purple-prose...thing. So, uh, that might take a while, but it's coming, I swear! Also, Harry just in general treats all perceived threats the same,regardless of actual threat level, which is brought up in said fill!

They aren't me, but I'm delighted to hear this about the fill. Humor is awesome, and thinky-fic is also awesome, and long, funny, thinky fic is the best! I love seeing an interpretation or extrapolation on a character's psychology that I've never thought of before! It makes me feel like I'm still learning exciting new things, even though I can't afford to take classes right now. &heart;

Not so sure about the humor but I'm glad you're excited. Clearly we all need anon specific code names. Which would make us semi-anonymous? I think? Anyway, I call dibs on Seabiscuit. No explanation for the heart thing other than the internet is weird sometimes. And to the nonny below, yeah the Mirror one is where NearMissJohn and NormalJohn sex up NearMissHarry in between their respective angst of choosing between awesome security or an awesome boyfriend, but is noncanon in respect to the main fic. And with that I do believe we have covered all vaguely Near Miss related things.

Well... we could bring up the prompt that was put out a while ago for NormalHarry getting his turn to interact with the NearMissians, in his world or theirs, which I admit to not so secretly longing to see filled - but yeah, after that we're pretty much out of new ground and falling over the edge of the disc. ;)
