Mods, could you add a link to the "View=flat" chronological option on the Overflow post?

Thanks!

Round 1 and 2

(Anonymous) 2011-04-02 02:58 am (UTC)(link)
Is there a way to access Round 1 and 2 fills that have been completed?

(Anonymous) 2011-04-02 02:51 pm (UTC)(link)
There are several fics in first two rounds that for some reason were not updated in some time. I was wondering if you could maybe make a separate post in which devoted readers could remind the authors about them and ask for the continuation of certain stories...

(Anonymous) 2011-04-03 09:34 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't mean we should demand something from the authors. But maybe they're sitting sad and lonely and thinking 'nobody reads this anyway, why should I continue' when in fact somebody still waits impatiently for more. With rounds 1 and 2 officially closed it's almost useless trying to comment there...
Also, I remember at least one instance in which an author said that she forgot she started writing a story at all XD
Everybody needs appreciation, so please reconsider.

1. The link to this post from the Round Three post is linking to the wrong thing. :)

2. Can mods please do something about this prompt (http://dresden-kink.dreamwidth.org/1288.html?thread=65544#cmt65544)? Back on round two we already had the discussion about that term regarding trans people, at length, and for a couple of reasons I'd rather not engage on the meme again.

Round-robins

(Anonymous) 2011-04-07 06:40 am (UTC)(link)
I was wondering, could we maybe have a post for round-robins? I know there were none in first two rounds but I think it might me fun...

(Anonymous) 2011-04-12 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
What about a voluntary reminder thread? Maybe over on the discussion page? Something along the lines of "Author of [insert fill here] is not feeling the love, do you want me to continue?"

Of course, that makes me think there should be corresponding threads with "Author of [insert fill here] will not be continuing" and "Author of [insert fill here] is putting his/her fill up for grabs, round robins, and what-have-you." Something like a "status of fill" thread.

The problem is that this gets complicated, and if the author doesn't want to continue, they shouldn't feel they have to. And you might have the problem of anons who aren't the author starting threads just to get the author-non's attention.

...I am one who will likely need reminders that hey, that's my fill over there. Oops. ^^; I'm not the anon you're thinking of, but it could have EASILY been me. It's one of my semi-fears that I've lost a fill somewhere and left it unfinished.

There's a prompt I want to add a second fill to. The prompt is from an earlier round but has already been reposted in overflow...mistakenly I think, since they started with part one.

Should I repost the prompt in round three, as an unstarted fill, or just reply to the reposted prompt in overflow to reduce the amount of prompt reposting?

Delete this?

The fail is strong in this one. -faceplam- I forgot the add warnings/pairings and whatnot in the subject line. Please delete this (http://dresden-kink.dreamwidth.org/1288.html?thread=345096#cmt345096)so that I can repost it with the proper tags.

Thank you. =(

Thank you for your hard work! :D

I have a suggestion/idea/thought - what about having an 'update' entry in the kink meme? Authors would post links to their fills/updates when they update (also stating if it's from the overflow entry or from round 3), which would make things much easier for the readers who follow more than one fill?

Yes/No?

IDK if this is a good idea, but...

How would you feel about using the community to make a Friending Meme for the fandom in a separate post? Or has one been made already in a different community?

I think there are some new people coming in to the fandom through the Kinkmeme (I know I'm one and have heard of others in the comments) who might like to meet other like-minded fans and find out more about the resources available for the Dresden Files fandom. It's hard to meet new people when most of them are writing and commenting anonymously, which is of course the point of the kinkmeme :D So, maybe a separate post where thus who want to meet can?

I was in a hurry and left off the tags, would it be acceptable to put them in a comment under the first post or does it need to be deleted and reposted?

(Anonymous) 2011-05-11 06:25 am (UTC)(link)
How active is the secretary anon? I've noticed that the archiving has gone down a lot recently. I'm happy to help out if need be.

What are the rules for a second fill to a reposted prompt?

[personal profile] cathrinerose 2011-05-11 06:35 pm (UTC)(link)
[personal profile] forestgreen has just started a fill of a round two fic (Accountant!Harry) I've been working on.

They are quite different fics and I was thinking of posting my fill to the meme too. Should I post my fill as a reply to the prompt repost, start another thread, or something else?
